Understanding colours for painting - Bridget Riley

I already knew that experimenting with how different colours interact was important in creating a painting which had an effective visual impact. After attending the Bridget Riley exhibition at Kettle's Yard in Cambridge, I discovered the importance of colour more than anything else in her work and decided it would benefit me to reference her work in this way within my project.

I plan to create a variety of colour experiments within my sketchbook to address this important element in my painting.
